Someday we’re going to come at a crossroads,

And things aren’t going to be the same.

Maybe you’ll reciprocate the way I feel,

Or maybe we’ll go our separate ways.

 

All I’d like to tell you irrespective of what happens,

Is that you’re always going to be special to me.

I have nothing but enjoyed your endless chatter,

And really hoped, wished and rejoiced the idea of a we.

 

You should know you’re super talented,

And your aura is excessively magnetic.

You should know you’re perfect in your own unique way,

You’re smarter than most on any given day.

 

And one day you’ll believe in yourself the way I do,

You’ll see your worth like I already do.

“Endless potential” is the way I’d always describe you,

One of the best human beings I ever knew.

 

I think you understand why I have to see this through,

My feelings for you are pure and you know that’s true.

I have been meaning to do this for a while but I have been so afraid,

Cause losing you seems unbearable and it’d kill me to see your memory fade.

 

But I’ll always be around keeping an eye on you from the shadow,

I’ll cherish your success and enjoy as you bloom like a rose.

I promise I’ll be there for you whenever you need me around,

But for now I have to go cause I know I let you down.

 

In conclusion I’ll say I wish you the best,

Open your eyes woman, YOU’RE BETTER THAN THE REST.

  2. Fantastic post. I would have loved someone telling me these truths when I was a teenager, as it would have saved me so much pain. I had to find my value by myself, and once I knew I was a jewel, I wouldn’t settle for less than someone who saw my value, too.

  8. Good Post. It reminds me of a my blog post entitled Are You Worth It? Without yourself worth you can never come into the truth of who you are. Which causes many people to stumble through life wondering on the wrong path. Marking time yet progressing nowhere. People may look confident on the outside but be lacking it on the inside.
