It is raining cats and dogs outside,
And the weather is cool and gloomy.
The air is filled with the scent of wet mud,
As the earth reminds us of its tarnished beauty.
I sit by the window for hours together,
With a cup of hot chocolate to enjoy.
Busy watching as the rain pelts on my window,
Pondering into nothingness as the time goes by.
I thought I had forgotten it all,
But it all came back to me again.
The days when we spent hours together,
And held hands in these rains.
So let the rain wash away,
All the pain from yesterday.
Sit back and admire the rhythm of falling rain,
Amidst the falling rain, I learned to grow again.
-The Travellothoner
I love the rain so this made me very happy and peaceful to read.

The earth reminds us of its tarnished beauty ? Tarnished ? You mean blemished ? I wonder when it rains , it turns to be the apex of green.

Yes. But the same green isn’t as majestic as it was a decade ago. The earth/nature itself isn’t as majestic as it used to be.

There is a tinge of sadness in the poem, it is running through the poem like an invisible thread, very touching.

Rain can wash the dust off of your soul; and the sound of it is relaxing.

Sometimes the rain washes away the past and brings about a fresh start. Life would be a much smaller place without rain showers.
